halloechen everyone,
my name is carina, in november 2021 I moved from germany to chicago to live with my significant other and our rescue dog named "titus". my passion is the aquarium hobby. and that's what I'm going to share with you on this website.
my dad loves fishing and from a young age he started to take me with him. that's how I got introduced to the fish world.
I always loved to sit at the lake and enjoy the nature.
one day we drove to the fishing store and I was allowed to pick out a rubber bate as my own little "fish pet". I filled a plastic container with water and put the "fish" in. I guess you can call that my first ever "aquarium" I set up.
when I was 9 my dad took me to one of our favorite animal shops and bought me my first (20gal ish) fish tank kit - not gonna lie, I cried out of excitement. we picked out some substrate and a few green fake plants and a décor piece and drove to my favorite outdoor fish store, were we picked out some baby goldfish (didn't know any better at that time).
over the years I kept a wide verity of aquatic life from the ordinary guppy's and platys to angles, cichlids, pea puffers, frogs, crayfish and more.
now for a new chapter... lets make new memories, learn more and enjoy the fish keeping hobby..
